Sometimes I’m surprised

Hello there,

I have been visiting chat rooms lately. Mostly through the twitlive.tv, sites. Stickam, and the Buzz out Loud rooms too.

 I am surprised how many really nice people I have met.  Techie, intelligent people.  Pleasant people, who are interested in geek stuff.  People who just want to watch an internet ‘tv’ program put together.  I have also met real jerks, that, if I had my way.  Smart ass, ‘legends in their own minds’ types. 

I have made friends with several of them. The nice people, not the jerks.   I have my standards. . .

I just finished chatting with a person in Indiana, and, the ‘dj’ on the internet irish radio program I was listening to.   They were friendly, normal, easy to chat with. No attitude, no pretense. Just pleasant folks.

Can’t wait to chat again, and, visit the Emerald isle. . .

A Good Ride

My friend Bill & I went for a ride in the country on Saturday. Bill has a recumbent bicycle, and I am on a Trek road bike.
For old folks, we did 38 miles.  Not bad for AARP’ers.

Morning,

well, Solstice is just a couple days away.  For the last month or so, the birds, the sun, and us, have been up earlier and earlier.  I love this time of year.  It’s like a rejuvination or recharging of the soul.  Faster, longer, brighter days are on the horizon for the next month or two.  Then, it starts that long slide into winter.   Out of the two seasons we have here, this is my favorite.  

Get out and enjoy it!

No more “eyes of disgust”

our friend, and mom to several of our friends, Vernette, passed away this morning around 1 am.  A strong minded, and willed woman, she will be missed. That goes without saying, but we should say it anyway.

Always stylish, witty, and sharp, Vernette could put you in your place, or be a kind heart. She was a multitasker.
